Viarlo Elsirn has been a thorn in Prince Galen's side since the moment he was elected leader of the Regency Council. Most elves are chaotic good in alignment, Viarlo skirts the edges of lawful neutral. He's the closest thing to a rabid conservative that elven society can produce.
Viarlo has always been against Galen's 'nasty habit' of adventuring, and seems to have made a hobby of trying to find ways to restrict the younger man's freedom.
