Trevor and Alain Reynar

Tirefhor (who prefers to be called by the more casual "Trevor") is second cousin to Jendar and Arindor. He grew up among the city-elf nobility, aware of his high position -- but also aware that had his mother been born first, he might have been the ruling prince. He learned both magic and bladework alongside his cousins and grew quite competent at both, although his swordplay never equalled Arindor's and Jendar was usually his superior with a spell. Trevor "distinguished" himself by becoming quite the social animal, and something of a rake, as well.

For a time, Trevor's goal was to work himself up in the social hierarchy by marrying Jendar; however, Jeni was smart enough to see through that particular ambition and squash it. After being turned down flat, Trev allowed Maren to arrange a marriage for him.

Maren's choice was a young forest-raised woman, Tanaselia. [More on her in a moment!] Trevor went through with the wedding, but when his new bride turned up 'in the family way' soon after, he left to go adventuring -- and promptly vanished. Eventually word filtered back to Laranica that the majority of his party were either dead or missing.

Trev's family and friends couldn't know it, but he was among the missing; Trevor had been captured by Drow elves and was being held prisoner in a pocket dimension of the Demonweb until such time as his captors could use him for leverage against his kin. He's not sure how much time passed in that pocket, but it gave him plenty of thinking space to regret things he'd done (and hadn't done). By the time he was rescued by the young half-blood Eliyen, three years had passed back at home.

Although she'd done her share of growing and changing too, while he was away, Tana was willing to give him a second chance. Trevor has been a much better husband since his return.
