Tana and Dajani Reynar Back to Residents / Laranica Main |
Tanaselia Duithil was forest-bred and never expected to be chosen as a marriage-match to a city noble. When Princess Maren brought her to Laranica as a prospective bride for Tirefhor Reynar, however, she tumbled headlong into infatuation with the handsome rogue. Marriage turned out to be a disappointment; Tana's new husband was not likewise infatuated, and in fact seemed to hold his young wife in disdain. When he left the city upon learning of her pregnancy, it all but broke Tana's young heart... and when he didn't return, and they'd still had no word from him by the time son Alain was born, Tana was infuriated. As soon as she recovered from Alain's birth, Tana began learning how to take care of herself, in the event Trevor never came back. She prevailed on new relatives to teach her use of the bow, and also of social skills she needed to move comfortably in Laranica's society. After another year, word filtered back to Laranica that most of the party Trevor had gone adventuring with were either dead or missing. Galen took an expedition to check the area they were last seen, but could only learn that Trev hadn't been among the dead. Tana didn't know whether to mourn him, or stay angry -- and ended up doing a bit of both. By the following year, she was considering having the marriage nulled and getting on with her life. That's when the young half-blood Drow Eliyen arrived in Laranica in spectacular fashion -- bringing Trevor, who she rescued from a Demonweb prison, back with her. There's an old saying that 'reformed rakes make the best husbands', and whether or not it's true in general, Tana now finds she rather agrees with it. Trevor's experiences seem to have made him appreciate what he'd left behind. The two have worked out their differences and now have a second child as well, daughter Dajani. NPC |
