Lysaris runs the Living Oaks Hostelry in the city of Laranica, taking care of its guests and tending the ancient oaks which surround and support the inn.

The grey elf woman is past her middle years now, and ready to turn her task over to someone younger and with more energy, but she claims the oaks choose the person they want to watch over them -- and have not yet chosen her successor.
