Galen is hereditary prince of the Elvish city/kingdom of Laranica -- the only known 'urban' area created by elves. His father, Arindor, died when Galen was just over 100 years old; the city council, considering this far too immature to reign, set up a regency council to govern until Galen reaches his 200th year. [8 years and counting...]

Once he reached physical maturity, Galen followed his aunt Jendar's bad example and began adventuring as something to pass the time. He's been in more than a few scrapes, including a couple of nasty run-ins with Drow. Galen is currently betrothed to Jodee Nyas (a grey elf Ranger); it's assumed they'll wed at the same time he gains his throne, although they've already been lovers for about fifteen years.

At 6', Galen is remarkably tall for an elf, and more muscular than most [the result of his player rolling a barely-legal 18/73 for his strength!]. The Alvenons maintain that this is due to the fact that the family line is a hybrid including all the major elf bloodlines/types; the direct descendants tend to be tall, healthy and golden-haired, with slightly darker (lt. to med.-tan) skin than some. [There may have been some drow blood in the family from WAY back... I still haven't been able to get a straight answer from any of them on that one.]
